Job Description
Position Summary:
The Aegis/Weapon Systems Engineering Technician supports the assessment, troubleshooting, and repair oversight of U.S. Navy shipboard weapons systems, including Aegis combat systems. This role requires advanced electronics knowledge, with supporting mechanical and electrical skills, to ensure mission-critical systems remain fully operational.
Experience: 3 or more years of experience
Clearance: Secret clearance
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct inspections of shipboard weapon systems and identify operational deficiencies.
Oversee repair and maintenance activities to ensure compliance with Navy standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across integrated weapon systems.
Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and engineering drawings.
Document findings, maintenance actions, and system performance in formal reports.
Work alongside Navy personnel and technical teams to ensure combat system readiness.
Qualifications:
Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel.
Working knowledge of Maintenance and Material Management (3M).
Extensive experience in Navy weapons systems, Aegis, or comparable combat systems.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics.
Active or eligible for Secret Security Clearance.
Willingness to travel to shipyards, ports, and at-sea assignments.
