Job Description

Job Description

At Sweeney Conrad, our foundation of “people first” begins with our employees—because

we know the success of our firm stems from the relationships within it. We consider our

employees family and foster a positive work culture, encouraging a healthy balance between

work and life, building a career, continuing education, and being actively involved in the

Puget Sound community where we live, work, and play.

Recognized by Accounting Today as one of the “Best Accounting Firms to Work For” and

by Puget Sound Business Journal as one of “Washington’s Best Workplaces,” we offer vast

opportunities for both career and personal development. As a midsized firm, we provide

the best of both small and large firms, including working with a wide variety of clients and

industries while offering specialization in areas of interest.

We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Recruiting Coordinator to support the end-to-end recruiting process and ensure a seamless experience for candidates, hiring managers, and recruiters. This role plays a key part in scheduling, communication, and operational logistics, and works collaboratively with the broader recruiting team. The Recruiting Coordinator will be in office minimum of four days a week.

Specific duties will include:

  • Coordinate and schedule interviews with candidates and interview teams across multiple departments and locations
  • Coordinate the interview process for select positions, ensuring timely and professional communication throughout
  • Create and maintain job postings across internal and external platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Handshake, job boards)
  • Track candidate progress in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS); ensure accurate and up-to-date records
  • Support and participate in campus recruiting events, job fairs, and banquets—including occasional overnight or offsite travel as needed
  • Conduct phone screening for candidates
  • Coordinate intern onboarding and scheduling throughout the duration of the internship program, and support additional intern-related tasks as needed by recruitment or leadership
  • Collaborate with recruiters and hiring managers to support requisition management and candidate pipeline tracking
  • Support the HR team during pre-employment process (e.g., background checks, reference checks)
  • Assist with onboarding coordination and Day 1 logistics for new hires as needed
  • Help support and promote our employer brand through social media, events, volunteering, fun events, and candidate touchpoints
  • Administer employee benefits by enrolling and unenrolling staff in benefit programs, reconcile benefit statements, maintain personnel files, and conducting firm-wide HR-related surveys
  • Update HR dashboards and compile ad hoc HR reports
  • Perform other duties as assigned

The successful candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience
  • 1-2 years minimum experience of recruiting coordinator or HR support
  • 1-2 years experience within an Applicant Tracking System (ATS); experience with ADP is preferred
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; able to handle multiple priorities with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
  • A self-starter who is comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while creating a welcoming and inclusive candidate experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Demonstrated experience in managing multiple tasks and in organizing and prioritizing work assignments and ongoing duties
  • Ability to communicate effectively and timely in writing and verbally with colleagues, clients, and other external partners
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in campus engagements, diversity recruitment strategies, and internship programs
