Job Title: Night Shift Registered Nurse (Telemetry Unit)

Location: Asheville, NC
Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Unit: Telemetry Medicine Unit (5W)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Night Shift Registered Nurse to join our dynamic Telemetry Medicine Unit. You will be part of a team that values teamwork, efficiency, and patient-centered care. This role is critical in providing high-quality telemetry monitoring and patient care to ensure optimal outcomes.

Unit Information:

• Number of Beds: 36
• Number of Staff: 50+
• Staffing for Night Shift:

- 1 Charge Nurse
- 7 Registered Nurses (RN)
- 3 Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA)
- 0.5 Health Unit Coordinator (HUC)
- 1-2 Sitters

Patient Ratios:

• Night RN Ratio: 1:6 to 1:7

Equipment:

• Medical remote telemetry monitoring
• Cerner Patient Observation (CPO)
• VC150 devices in every patient room
• Workstations on wheels for all staff members
• "Tap and Go" documentation access

Required Qualifications:

• Active RN License
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Experience in Medical Telemetry

Preferred Qualifications:

• Charge Nurse experience
• Leadership experience
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess patient conditions in a telemetry setting
• Prepare patients for procedures, including Endoscopy, Interventional Radiology (IR), and Operating Room (OR)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans
• Provide compassionate and effective patient care in a fast-paced environment

Work Schedule:
Must commit to 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule, which includes Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays as part of the night shifts.
